Is there anyone out there who is sick of Youtube??

  • Mood: Outraged
  • Listening to: my teeth grind
  • Reading: n/a
  • Watching: Deadwood......you cocksuckers.
  • Playing: n/a
  • Eating: I dont remember

I know I am.If you are an amv director, I am sure that you have had the misfortune of some dickless asshole flagging your video claiming, "Copyright Infringement" and then having your baby ripped down from that goddamn website.Heh, copyrights.Blow me.Everything on Youtube is copyrighted; whether it's a music video, someone's video blog,or whatever, chances are that there is copyrighted material in it somewhere and in some form.As long as the credit is payed to whom it is due to, there shouldn't be a problem.and if those cocksuckers want to go after people for copyrights, then they should go after those who upload entire movies and television shows.I can see the potential damage uploading entire shows could inflict on profits;why rent or buy the movie/show when they could watch it for free on Youtube?I dunno about you guys, but doesn't LOSS OF MONEY come a little higher on the urgency list than a anime music video?Only in this ass-backwards fucking world does that logic make sense.I hate people so much.

Now,this has happened to me twice now.Two of my earlier videos were flagged on copyright bullshit. My FLCL amv titled, "Syndication of Fornication" was flagged because of a 20 second clip from the motion picture, "Smokin' Aces" was used in it as a joke.NBC was the one who made the claim.

But let me go off topic for a second to address a point that pertains to this ordeal; The video was flagged because of a short clip from a live-action movie was in it.BUT, it wasn't flagged for any of the other content within the video...which was anime. So what they are saying is that live-action movies are more noteworthy than anime simply because of a single FUCKING ASININE MENTALITY from 60 years ago that still is stinking up the world of animation.and that mentality is that "cartoons are for kids, and will never have the depth that movies have."This is the kind bullshit that gets spewed out of 40 year-old soccer moms, who frequently shop at Wal-Mart and sit on thier big fat asses watching re-runs of Law and Order every fucking night. What shallow empty creatures you are.But my point is that anime (good ones, mind you) do not get the same amount of respect that movies get...never mind the fact that they are both considered to be an art form and an outlet of expression. It's just that one is animated, and one is shot with 250,000-dollar Panavision cameras.and even in this modern world where anime is becoming more and more westernized and mundane is becoming the norm for the genre, great anime should never, ever be passed up.If you are a person who thrives on expression, anime falls within your parameters. So get off your fucking high horse (before I eat it) and go watch some Cowboy Bebop.

Getting back to the main rant,NBC flagged my amv claiming copyright infringement. But instead of tearing it down, they just blocked it from an entire country....The United [link] no one but me can watch that video in this country at all. But, despite this, I let it slide.

After a grueling day of work, cutting meat, yelling at customers, and doubting my own existence...I check my email.Inside I find a letter with some other group of assholes claiming I stepped over some copyright boundary. Joy.This time it was to one of my favorite projects, "Fist of The World." It was a hardcore-action amv set to the Dragonball franchise. The song used was from death metal band, Trivium. The actual song was off of thier last album titled "The Crusade". The song was the 7th track called, "Becoming The Dragon".When I read this email, all of the headaches, sleepless nights, bloodshot eyes, frustrations, anxiety, and triumph came flooding back to me all at once.It was a mockery to my efforts.and I really had hold myself back from just going completely berserk. As a AMV director,on the whole,I get ignored.(except for the few of you guys who still care about me)It's been almost two years since I joined up, and my work gets passed over for some piece of shit amv that A;lacks any artistic expression. B;sucks.C;set to a shitty overplayed song.D; uses footage that was poorly taped off of the tv, has subtitles, and/or has a "Adult Swim/Cartoon Network" insignia on the bottom.Occasionally, I do get comments. But they are usually from some internet cam whore looking for a quick buck from horny teenage boys, and wants to use my work as a stepping stone. Thanks a mill, skank.I am so glad that my work means so little to you.I hope the next guy you fuck gives you a disease that turns your ovaries into liquid shit.

So after all is said and done, what am I doing about it? I am putting both videos back up.Fuck them.If they wanna flag me again, I'll just keep putting them back up until they delete my account....which then I will be resurrected as Onishima99, and then those two videos will be the first to go up.

If you guys out there have nay similar stories, feel free to share them with me.We can have words.

-CHEFTER, 2K9

p.s. This is a message to my fans; keep an eye on my youtube account, I am working on a full amv project using some of the new tricks I have learned in my training. It should be up in a couple of weeks.

I like String for a name...ahaha. I also have one named Minion.and the name doesn't fit,she is far too calm.

I understand your standing and the people on this goddamn site.I have been here for three years and I have seen a drastic change in the mentality of most of the artists on here.I may be romanticizing the past, but I remember when this was a site about self expression and individuality. What is it now? A fuckin pissing contest between these "Otaku".Makes me sick.and if it isn't that, it is some drama-journal diva looking for attention, talking about broken hearts and suicide.I say do it. and rid the world of your boredom. It kills me because it is a mockery to those who really are suffering inside.I could fill a War and Peace-sized novel on the hacks of DA, but lets leave things at that.

As for me, nothing new to report.Walking around, hating everything I see with all my black little heart.Scorning this, cursing that, wishing Green Day would go back to their old stuff, waiting for a new Social D record, blah blah.and still trying to figure out why my art crapped out five years ago.another exciting chapter in the Human Comedy. What's new with you?

I love 1945.My fav version of it is the one from the Live at The Roxy performance.Badass. It also reminds me of the old days playing Tony Hawk games.

If there is anyplace to get all that preliminary bullshit course outta the way for dirt cheap, community colleges is the ticket.

I had almost forgot, but I made this short vid on youtube. I hardly get any traffic with my projects so I figured i should bounce it off of you to see what you think of it.Its a vid I made while i was drunk one night, its really dumb.and be honest, if you think it sucks, then tell me.Oh, and if you get curious and wanna watch my other vids, I 'll warn you; Youtube has either erased or muted half of my vids.Joy.
